The site Student Survival Guide to Managing Group Projects 2.0 at http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~sludi/SEmanual/TableOfContents.html is a small group manual complete with in-depth information by Stephanie Ludi in the Computer Science Department at California Polytechnic State University. The site includes sections concerning general group tasks, the evolution of group members, and a great section discussing problems students may have with other group members, such as laziness.

Ann Porteus's website, http://www.stanford.edu/group/resed/resed/staffresources/RM/training/grouproles.html, is a practical guide to the roles people play in groups. The page also tells what an individual in a group does to play each role, how he or she will play the role, and when he or she will take on the characteristics of that role.
