Pack Rats and Ebay

Because of technology, both collecting and hoarding can be easier than ever. The popular online auction site Ebay is a great resource for pack rats—those looking to get rid of their accumulated clutter, or those looking for more clutter to keep. Have you ever used Ebay? What did you use it for? Why might someone be suspicious of Ebay’s popularity? Why might someone be in favor of it?

“They’ve Gotta Keep It” says that there is a difference between collectors and pack rats, and that “collectors usually specialize in one of a few classes of objects, which they organize, display, and even catalogue.” Have you known any collectors or pack rats personally?
