These writing prompts are followed by text boxes for your input. If you are working online and your instructor has given you the go-ahead, you can e-mail your work to him or her by clicking the "E-mail Your Answers" button. You can also e-mail a copy to yourself as a record of your work. If you are working offline, you will have to copy your answers (CTRL-C on most systems) and paste them (CTRL-V) into a text document to retain a record of your work.
Directions: Choose a hobby or interest that you might like to find out more about. Then, using the search engine of your choice, visit several websites that are related to your interest. Choose a site that you like and write a paragraph describing both the activity and the website to someone unfamiliar with both. What appeals to you about the activity? What makes the website fun, informative, and/or amusing to people who share your interest?
Take a look at this picture. What sense impressions does it evoke in you? Besides sight, discuss as many of the senses as you can. Consider touch, hearing, smell, and taste.
