1.5 The United States' Hibakusha Response

In the weeks following the hijackings and terrorist destruction that occurred in September of 2001, many organizations reached out to help the "explosion affected" in the United States. One of those is the New York Foundation for the Arts. This site is divided into news stories, words and stories from the arts community, help for those impacted/how to help, invitations to respond, events, the impact of the attack on freedom of expression, and information about memorials and rebuilding.

Read several articles in the area of your choice. Answer the following questions.

1
How do the archives on this site treat the news stories of the days and years since the attack?
2
What are some of the most interesting things you have learned from reading articles in the archives? Identify at least two articles by author and title along with a summary of the information you noticed.
