Activity 1: Locate a will using www.courttv.com/people/wills/. Did they distribute real property? Personal property? Intellectual property? Was property transferred to individuals or to trusts? Does the will indicate that property passed outside the will? What device(s) was used to do so? What provisions were made for tax payments?
Activity 2: With a partner, find a standard form lease agreement and enter a fictional lease agreement, with one of you acting as the landlord and one as the tenant. Carefully review the lease terms. Do you understand all of them? What constitutes a breach? What are the remedies of a breach? Other than price, what terms did you "negotiate?"
