OBJECTIVES

One of the main objectives of the text is to teach students the skills and techniques needed to actually conduct a research survey and generate reliable, valid results. The focus is, in part, on providing the instruction and direction needed to DO research. The objective of this class field project is to give your students actual experience at collecting and working with real survey research data.

BACKGROUND

We developed and refined this class field project procedure over twenty years time and with about 70 classes, and we continue to use it in every research class and others, as well. This method is thoroughly tested. Many thousands of respondents have been surveyed using this technique.
