Chapter Summary

Chapter 15 discusses archaeometry, the application of chemical and physical sciences to archaeological materials. There are of course other kinds of materials and artifacts found at archaeological sites–wood, metal, ground stone, textiles, glass, and more. References to studies of such materials are found in the bibliography at the end of the book, or you can search online for the kind of material in which you are interested.
