Chapter Eight will provide for the student a view of virtue through the eyes and theories of Socrates and his pupil Plato. The student will learn how and to what degree Plato influenced Augustine. Plato's Theory of Forms will be explained to the student so that he/she will understand the comparison between Plato's theory and the opinions of other classical theorists.
