The instructions in Excel Accounting are written with Windows
XP and Excel 2002. You can complete Excel Accounting with lower
and higher versions of Windows and Excel. This includes Excel 2003.
Excel Accounting teaches you how to apply procedures that you
learned in your study of accounting.
The courses emphasized in Excel Accounting are Principles of
Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting.
Student CD-ROM: Each book includes a CD with the Excel
files necessary for completion of selected activities and exercises. The
Excel files are backwards and forwards compatible. This means they can be
used with Excel 97 and higher.
After working with the Excel files included on the CD, you learn how to
design and complete worksheets from scratch. There are no preformatted Excel
files for Part 3, Model Building .
The objective of Excel Accounting is to teach you how to design
and complete Excel spreadsheets that are used by accountants.
