Student Resources

In addition to the fully updated text, a number of student learning resources have been developed to aid readers in their understanding of electronic principles and applications.
  • Student CD-ROM, provided with the textbook, provides MultiSim simulation files for circuits covered in text examples and problems. They are arranged by chapter for easy reference.
  • Experiments Manual to accompany Electronic Principles, correlated to the textbook, provides a full array of hands-on labs; MultiSim “prelab” routines are included for those wanting to integrate computer simulation, and files for these are included on the bound-in Experiments Manual CD ROM.
  • Online Learning Center (OLC) website (Student Site) contains a wealth of student features, including extra review questions, links to industry sites, circuit & component lists, and activities based around key terms.

Instructor Resources

  • Instructor’s Manual provides printed solutions and teaching suggestions for the text and Experiments Manual.
  • Instructor Productivity Center CD ROM, bound with the Instructor’s Manual, provides prepared instructional PowerPoint for all chapters in the text; Electronic Testbanks with additional review questions for each chapter that can be arranged, edited, and modified to fit class needs; and e-Instruction’s Classroom Performance System (CPS), an active in-class learning system using hand-held consoles.
  • Online Learning Center website (Instructor Site, password-protected) includes the Instructor’s Manual and PowerPoint slides online, links to industry and educational websites, Parts Kit list for experiments, and electronic testbanks online.
  • Experiments Manual, to accompany Electronic Principles, correlated to the textbook, with lab follow-up information included in the textbook Instructor’s Manual, Instructor Productiviy Center and Instructor side of the Online Learning Center website.
  • Visual Calculator For Electronics software allows you to analyze over 140 basic electronics circuits with the ability to display any of the 1500 equations used in the calculations. With Visual Calculator you can substitute standard resistor values to see the effects on circuit operation, view load lines and other graphs, along with viewing data sheets for many of the components. This software can be used by instructors to help teach and demonstrate electronic circuit operation. Students can use the software to review for midterms and final exams, check answers to homework problems, and get answers faster than by any other method. Visual Calculator can be found at http://www.malvino.com.
