After completing this chapter, you should be able to
1.
Write and apply the relationship between the volume and the pressure of a gas at constant temperature (Boyle's law).
2.
Write and apply the relationship between the volume and the temperature of a gas under conditions of constant pressure (Charles's law).
3.
Write and apply the relationship between the temperature and pressure of a gas under conditions of constant volume (Gay-Lussac's law).
4.
Apply the general gas law to the solution of problems involving changes in mass, volume, pressure, and temperature of gases.
5.
Define vapor pressure, dew point, and relative humidity and apply these concepts to the solution of problems.
