A New Multimedia Perspective
Technology now plays a greater role in providing you and your students with an abundance of multimedia resources. Take a look at the multimedia assets that are available with the sixth edition of Biology.

Online Learning Center
A multitude of tools awaits you on Biology's Online Learning Center. You'll want to take advantage of the electronic illustrations and photographs from the text; classroom activities; animations; labeling exercises; quizzing exercises; lecture outlines.

The Online Learning Center is home to over 200 animations of the most difficult concepts. Having them on the OLC allows your students to access these animations at their convenience. In addition to animations, there are also more than 200 learning activities and simulations.

Media Resources
Located at the end of each chapter, these link to an abundance of chapter-related learning tools. It also organizes all of the technology support material for the student into correlation tables. These correlation tables enable students to see what is available on the Online Learning Center. The same correlation appears on the Online Learning Center and summarizes the material.

Real People Doing Real Science
An inquiry-based learning exercise was added at the beginning of every Part. It walks your students through the process of scientific inquiry by examining a particular experiment. Your students are then directed to the Online Learning Center for an in-depth examination of the experiment.

Vectorized Art
Vectorized art files allow you to manipulate art and adapt figures to meet the needs of your lecture environment. These files are housed on the Online Learning Center.

Flash Animations
Art taken directly from the book has been converted into Flash animations and then posted to the Online Learning Center to help bring life to difficult concepts.

Visual Resource Library images
The Visual Resource Library includes all of the photographs and illustrations from the textbook. These images are available on the Online Learning Center. Enhance your lectures with the availability of every piece of art and photo from the text. Pull them into your own PowerPoint or other presentation software, or use the prepared presentations that we have developed.

Life Science Animations
Over 200 animations for classroom presentations are available on Online Learning Center. These animations represent some of the most difficult concepts for students to grasp. You can pull these animations into your PowerPoint lecture presentation.

Course Integration Guide
The online Course Integration Guide helps you correlate all of the ancillary materials to the chapters in the book. It can be time-consuming to organize your chapter materials, so we have done the work for you. The Course Integration Guide lists each chapter's learning and presentation tools so that you know, at a glance, what tools are available to you.

Genomics Chapter
A new chapter on genomics is included on the Online Learning Center. It expands upon the discussion of gene technology to present and explain the advances now being made with genomics. Because the field of genomics is always advancing, we can keep the material up-to-date for you by placing it online. You and your students will always have the latest information at the click of a mouse.
