Activity 1

Use your favorite search engine to locate websites that discuss punctuation marks (apostrophes, semi-colons, dashes, parentheses, quotation marks and hyphens). Pick the one you'd most likely rely upon to help you study for your next test. Why did you pick that one? What makes it as reliable as, say, your textbook?

Directions: For a helpful review of punctuation marks, visit The Purdue University Online Writing Lab and take notes during your visit. What was the most helpful thing you learned? Did you learn anything that surprised you?
