This chapter covers white-collar crime and corporate crime, referred to collectively as organizational criminality. The chapter differentiates between the two types of organizational criminality, and then goes on to discuss issues related to definition and determining the frequency of these types of crimes. Following these discussions, the chapter traces the development of corporate criminal law and the models of corporate culpability. Next, there is a review of the problems of government control of corporations, and the difficulties associated with investigating and curbing corporate crime. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the future of white-collar and corporate crime.
