Western Music is readily accepted by many if not most young people whether African, Bulgarian. Japanese or Indonesian. Why isn’t the music of these cultures sought out by Americans? What does Western music have or represent that makes it so desirable to the rest of the world? Do we in the West link certain beliefs and feelings with these “foreign music’s” that prevent them from becoming popular here?

Jewish Americans have been an important part of the American entertainment industry since its earliest days. Why has this particular group of people been so important to the prosperity of the industry? What talents and or resources do these particular people bring that are so well suited to the entertainment industry? Jewish youngsters traditionally make their Bar or Bat- Mitzvah around the age of 12 or 13. How might this particular event create the skills necessary for a successful career in the entertainment industry? (With this question I am looking for a bit of research that results in comments like: memorization skills, public speaking experience, confidence in front of crowds, developing strong work ethic at a young age etc.)
