Traditional female gender roles and sexual scripts are fraught with rules and prohibitions -- especially about enjoying sex, talking about sex, and knowing and saying what a woman wants from a sexual encounter. Your text has described the traditions which American women tend to inherit; this video clip shows ways in which women try to break with tradition and talk openly about their interest in sexual encounters.
