Videocase: Mike on Marriage

Mike’s parents are divorced, and he believes that he takes marriage more seriously than his peers who do not have the same background. In the video clip, he states that he sees people getting married for what he thinks are the wrong reasons and fears that those couplings will not last long. He also believes that it is not easy to find a person with whom you would really want to spend the rest of your life.

This young man seems to realize that a good marriage takes effort and work and the skills to work through conflicts and disagreements. Mike himself does not feel ready for such a serious step.
