About the Authors



Dr. Holton Wilson has undergraduate degrees (BA, Economics and BS, Chemistry) from Otterbein College, an MBA from Bowling Green State University (Statistics), and a doctorate from Kent State University with majors in both marketing and economics. He has published numerous articles in economic, forecasting, and marketing journals, as well as several text books in these disciplines. He is a member of many professional associations including the American Marketing Association, the Society for Marketing Advances, the International Institute of Forecasters, and the Institute of Business Forecasting.

He teaches Marketing Analysis, Sales Forecasting, and Economic Analysis for Managers at Central Michigan University. Among his numerous teaching awards are: CMU College of Business Dean's Teaching Award (1995), Michigan Association of Governing Boards Award (1997), Ameritech Teaching Award (2000), Outstanding MBA Faculty Award (2000), Marketing Management Association Meritorious Teaching Award (2005), SBC Outstanding Teaching Award (2005), Hazleton MBA Faculty Excellence Award (2005).

Barry Keating is the Jesse H. Jones Professor of Business Economics at the University of Notre Dame, where he teaches courses in microeconomics, nonprofit economics, and business forecasting. He has done extensive research in the areas of quantitative methods of forecasting. He speaks regularly on business forecasting at professional meetings. He has published more than 50 articles in professional journals and trade publications. He is the co-author of the book, Business Forecasting, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, a M.A. from Lehigh University and a B.B.A from the University of Notre Dame.
