Paul Copley is the Hantzmon, Wiebel & Co. Faculty Fellow and Director of the School of Accounting at James Madison University . He received his BBA from the College of William and Mary and his MACC and PhD from The University of Alabama. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Professor Copley has published a wide variety of papers dealing with financial reporting and auditing of state and local governments, including publications in The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Research in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting and the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy. He has served on the Editorial Board of The Accounting Review and is Editor of Research in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting. Professor Copley has substantial experience working with private not-for-profit organizations, including service as Vice President of Finance of the American Accounting Association. Additionally, he developed and taught in a Business Skills for Pastors Seminar offered through Columbia Theological Seminary. |
