  1. There are many codes of conduct in the selling profession. The Direct Selling Association publishes one example. Go to www.dsa.org and click on the tab for the Code of Ethics. What type of conduct does the DSA address in the code? How is the code enforced? Do you feel this code is adequate to control the behavior of people engaged in direct selling? Why or why not?


  2. To learn more about careers in sales, go to www.bls.gov, the Web site for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This site contains a wealth of information about careers in all fields. Find the link to the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Bring up the handbook and then click on "Sales." Choose any of the sales fields listed, and explore that career field. What experience is necessary to be hired for that job? What is the median salary? What do earners in the highest 10 percent of performance earn? Is job growth anticipated in that field?
