eBooks are an innovative way for students to save money and to “go-green.” At 55% of the bookstore price, McGraw-Hill eBooks are an eco-friendly and cost-saving alternative to the traditional printed textbook.

McGraw-Hill currently offers 2 types of e-books: CourseSmart (online e-Book) and VitalSource (downloadable e-Book).
Online e-book via CourseSmart:
Students can access their e-book from any computer that has internet service without plug-ins or special software. Access to the CourseSmart e-book is 1 year.
CourseSmart e-books allow students to highlight, take notes, organize notes, and share the notes with other CourseSmart users. Students can also search terms across all e-books in their purchased CourseSmart library. CourseSmart e-books can be printed (5 pages at a time).

Downloadable e-book via VitalSource:
VitalSource is the downloadable option for e-Books. Through VitalSource, a student is able to download their text to two computers and have access. Once purchased, it is theirs to keep until deleted from their computer.
VitalSource e-Books allow students to copy and paste e-Book text into other documents (includes the citation information), students can highlight (with multiple colors), take notes, organize notes, and share notes with other VitalSource users. Pages are “reflowable,” meaning students can customize views, fonts, etc. VitalSource includes a search feature that allows students to search across all VitalSource eBooks within their purchased library. VitalSource eBooks can be printed (2 pages at a time).
