Chapter 9 - Creating an Online Space

Once you've created an organization, and started to get your message out to your fellow students, it's important to give those interested a space to learn more about your issue. There are several different outlets for this. Perhaps the most effective method of getting your message out is to create a dedicated website. While this is very effective, it is also the most time-consuming. The time you spend on this endeavor will be well worth it, as a well-done website will attract newly interested supporters. If you don't have the time to maintain a web-site, you can use other forums, such as Facebook or MySpace, to allow supporters to gather, share information and gain new knowledge. See the links below for tips on creating web spaces for your issue.
