About the Author

Byron S. Gottfried is a Professor Emeritus of Industrial Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to his retirement he was Academic Director of the Freshman Engineering Program at Pitt. He has written twelve college textbooks, including Spreadsheet Tools for Engineers Using Excel®, as well as numerous papers for professional journals.
