Map Collection, maintained by the University of Texas
There are high quality maps here of every region in the world, as well as historical maps, city maps, and other map-related links. Note that there are over 700 maps available for the United States alone! A good working knowledge of geography is important to all aspects of political science; for this chapter, it is particularly helpful to know where the key states you are interested in actually are - and what their states are nearby.
