Revision Changes

More popular than ever in colleges and universities worldwide, today's Essentials of Understanding Psychology has been completely redesigned and revised to provide excellent support and solutions for instructors teaching the introductory course. This major revision integrates a variety of media elements that not only foster student understanding of psychology and of how psychology impacts on students' everyday lives, but also allow students and instructors to assess students' mastery of psychology's key principles and concepts. Essentials of Understanding Psychology includes 12 fewer modules than Understanding Psychology does, combined and rewritten to produce a seamless brief version of the big book.

An increased coverage of biology is integrated throughout the book which include numerous citations from the 21st century.

A new Mastery feature (replacing 7e Visual Essays) has been designed to help students master 6 difficult core concepts in Introductory Psychology. The Mastery feature covers topics from Persuasion to Operant Conditioning.

An improved integration of modules within the chapter structure of the text provide students a clearer flow to understanding the chapters content. Chapter 7,(Memory) has been organized to be more student-friendly.
