Heart Rate Reserve  The difference between your maximum heart rate (highest heart rate in vigorous activity) and your resting heart rate (lowest heart rate at rest).
Hemoglobin  Oxygen-carrying pigment of the red blood cells.
Maximum Oxygen Uptake (VO2 Max)  A laboratory measure held to be the best measure of cardiovascular fitness. Commonly referred to as VO2 max or the volume (V) of oxygen used when a person reaches his or her maximum (max) ability to supply it during exercise.
Oxygen Uptake Reserve (VO2R)  The difference between your maximum oxygen uptake and your resting oxygen uptake. A percentage of this value is often used to determine appropriate intensities for physical activities.
