As you open the first pages of Teachers, Schools, and Society, you will come across a feature called Class Acts. Throughout the text, Class Acts offer personal insights about teaching and schooling, often written by students like you. The Class Acts posted here are personal vignettes about teaching submitted by your colleagues. Class Acts often paint a portrait of a motivational teacher who interested your colleague in a teaching career. Some Class Acts remind us what not to do as we remember a teacher we might like to forget. Either way, these vignettes are all based on real experiences. Would you like to submit your own Class Act? If you have a personal story of how a teacher or student impacted you in a special way, a Class Act about your own experience that you would be willing to share, than we invite you to send it to us, for inclusion on this Web page or possibly even in the next edition of the textbook. Like the other authors, you will receive full credit for your work — or stay anonymous, if you choose. Either way, others may benefit from your experience.
