Assess yourself in the Tobacco module by completing "Tobacco: Are You at Risk? (Part I)" found under the Wellness Activities menu. Make a list of ways you can decrease your exposure to tobacco. If you are strongly at risk, you may also find the suggestions in "Tobacco: Are You at Risk? (Part II)" very helpful. They focus on changing habits associated with smoking. If you smoke, consider keeping a tally of how many cigarettes you consume each week or month. See if you can decrease this number each week or each month.

The media are filled with messages that influence our decision making, and we are often unaware of the media's power. In the tobacco module, complete the activity "Tobacco Ads and You" under Wellness Activities to discover how much power advertising has over you. Take not of the tobacco ads you see during the week. If you are a smoker, do these ads make you want to smoke more? If you don't smoke, do the ads glamorize smoking enough to tempt you to take up the practice?
