Consider what you've read in this chapter about acetaminophen, antacids, antihistamines, aspirin, cold remedies, and other OTC drugs. How many of these drugs have you taken? Have you ever taken one in conjunction with another drug and experiences any of the listed symptoms?

Go to "Drug Challenge Exploration" under Wellness Activities in the Other Drugs module. Complete the assessment to discover what sorts of decisions you make on a daily basis regarding mixing OTC drugs with other common drugs. Have you ever experienced any of the side effects? Collect any OTC medications you have and compare the warnings on the labels with the information found in this chapter. Are they consistent? Do you think these warnings effectively convey the danger of OTC drug dependence?
