There have been a wide-variety of films made over the years that deal with addiction to heroin. Two of the most famous have been Trainspotting and Requiem for a Dream. Each of these films portrays heroin addiction in a very harrowing manner. In the Other Drugs module, go to "Drugs: Are You at Risk?" under Wellness Activities and complete the assessment as one of the characters from either of these movies. Do you feel that the characters in these films were an accurate portrayal of heroin addiction? Do you think heroin addiction is a serious problem in today's society?
