Visit the SEC's "Roadmap to Saving and Investing" at www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/roadmap.htm and trace the steps in the investment process suggested there. How might the steps listed there be affected by one's stage in the life cycle? For example, what issues are more important to college students versus their parents or even their grandparents? Is the distinction between savings and investments clearly made at the web site?
