Since then he has had varied experience as an accountant and has also worked full-time as a teacher in TAFE NSW for 25 years, including working as Acting Financial Planning Manager for 4 years and working for ANTA to establish the introduction of training packages in the VET system. He has since lectured in post-graduate accounting subjects at Macquarie University and is currently working as a Technical Consultant in the qualifications section of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. As well as authoring Computer Accounting Using MYOB Business Software, 8e, Bill has co-authored textbooks on cost accounting, management accounting, and computer accounting using QuickBooks Pro 2003.

George Kahwati is a director/owner of several successful companies and has had a wealth of management and accounting experience. He started at the age of 17 when he had to assume responsibility for his family’s international business interests due to his father’s ill health, and he has established, owned and managed several different businesses both in Australia and overseas.

George is a licensed real estate agent and a retired member of the Real Estate Institute of Australia, having completed their course in conjunction with the University of Sydney. He holds an international real estate licence and has completed other advanced qualifications in real estate, auctioneering and business agent courses. He has also obtained an Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

In 1975, George helped to develop one of the first computerised systems for real estate management practices. This not only had to comply with accounting standards but also with rigid real estate trust accounting regulations. George was instrumental in the introduction of MYOB software into NSW TAFE in 1989 and has been teaching it at TAFE and university ever since. He has also conducted many training courses for teachers in computerised accounting and has completed the Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
