www: IE17-22  Use the Google search engine to find cash flow statement in two different industries of your choice (ideally compare a new company like Amazon with an established manufacturing company). Summarise the main cash inflows and outflows and comment on the significant differences.

IE17-23 Interpreting Financial Statements Find ATT Corporation's latest annual report at its web site at www.att.com and General Electric Corporation's (GE) annual report at its web site at www.ge.com.

1.      Do ATT and GE use the direct or indirect method of presenting operating activities on their statements of cash flow?

2.      The statement of cash flow should list data for three years. Determine in there was a major change in the overall cash flow or in any of the three activities (operating, investing, and financing) for either corporation in any of the last two years. If so, is there any clear reason for the major change?

3.      Is there a major difference between the net cash flow and the net income for either corporation in any of the last two years? If so, explain why.
