About the Authors



Peter Earl is Associate Professor, School of Economics, University of Queensland, Australia.
Peter is currently running modules in Business Economics at undergraduate and MBA level at the University of Queensland. In addition to his wide-ranging teaching experience, Peter has served as co-editor of the Journal of Economic Psychology and is a founding member of the editorial boards of Review of Political Economy and Marketing Theory. He is the author or editor of sixteen previous books and numerous articles and book chapters. He specialises in business economics, consumer research and economic methods, with an interest in the impact of psychological factors and problems of information and knowledge on decision-making. His approach blends elements from Austrian Economics, Behavioural Economics, Evolutionary Economics, Institutional Economics and Post Keynesian Economics.

Tim Wakeley is Lecturer in Business Economics, School of Management, University of Bath.
Tim has many years of economics teaching experience in a variety of environments, with students of a wide range of ability and from diverse cultural backgrounds. He has particular interests in the application of evolutionary economics to business issues, the economics of innovation, and the economics of supply chain management. A member of the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy, Tim has published widely in journals such as Journal of Evolutionary Economics and the Journal of Economic Psychology. He is also the author of a book on evolutionary approaches to pricing.
