Discovered in 1994, by Jean-Marie Chauvet, the cave dates to at least 30,000 B.P. Jean Clottes has created a superb, easily navigable, site that explores the history and on-going research at the Chauvet cave in France. An interactive visit to the cave is also part of the site.
