Web Quest Lesson PlanIntroduction In this unit, students have explored the topic of what to do when they don't know what to do. In this lesson, they will read about people in two different situations who had to use their resources and mental faculties to decide what to do when they didn't know what to do. The first person, Rhona Marie Prescott, was an American nurse in the Vietnam War. The second person, Shilpa Natarajan, is a teenager from Chennai, India, who survived the tsunami that hit the region in December 2004. Lesson Description Students will read selected passages from Experiencing War: Veterans History Project <http://www.loc.gov/vets/stories/courage.html> and Tsunami: Shilpa's Story <http://googolplex.cuna.org/1/cnote/story.html?doc_id=890> and will then create a Venn diagram based on what they have read.
