The Jumbo Download Network This site contains over 200,000 free programs, downloads, and shareware games. (Shareware is material that you can try for a brief period of time for free. If you decide to keep it, you must pay for it.)

Pogo A website that offers many free games, includes prizes for some games. Must register to play, yet becoming a member is free.

Homestore This is a great site for people right out of college that need a place to live. This search engine can help find the perfect apartment or house.

Apartment World This site is also great for searching for apartments nationwide.

Apartments For Rent Another search engine for apartments. This site has many apartments in many areas of the country for rent.

Autoweb A site that has links to reasearching, buying, financing and insurance, buying, and selling cars.

Cars.com This site is a very thorough search engine for used cars. It also includes reasearching and financing a new/used car as well.

Auto Stop For anyone looking for quotes on cars for dealerships in your area.

MTV MTV.com has everything the music-lover could want. Everything from bands to the tv shows the MTV produces. You can even go in and vote for your favorite video on TRL!

VH1 VH1.com is much like MTV.com yet it has a taste for music that possibly would attract an older crowd, the 30-some age group may like this site better.

Artist Direct Look up artists and bands. This site gives links to other sites and profiles to musicians around the world.

CBS SportsLine The CBS SportsLine site has news, memorabilia, chat rooms, and even advice on finding a job related to sports.

ESPN Sportszone This comprehensive site provides up-to-date sports news and information and links to other relevant sites.

National Football League This is the NFL's online homepage, with recent stats and schedules for each team in the league.

Major League Baseball This is the MLB's online homepage, with recent stats and schedules for each team in the league.

National Basketball Association and Womans National Basketball Association Both of these sites are the top professional basektball leagues in the nation, the men's and women's NBA.

National Hockey League This is the NHL's online homepage, with recent stats and schedules for each team in the league.

EXPN This is a site for the generation of people ready to get down and dirty with the extreme sports. This is an affiliate of ESPN.

Budget Travel This site is maintained by a group of consumers who want to let others know about inexpensive vacations and travel. Includes links to travel agents, information on selected countries and cities, and a message board to communicate with other travelers.

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World Images and historical data on the Seven Wonders, with links to other resources.

Travelers' Health Traveling overseas? The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has information on how to stay healthy while traveling abroad. Information is provided by country and by disease. General information and interesting case histories are also available.

Travelocity Find and order inexpensive airline tickets from this site. The site is expanding but is currently limited to the largest metropolitan areas in the United States.

Volunteerism

Corporation for National Service This Web site features information on volunteer and service organizations, including Americorps, Senior Corps, Learn and Serve America for Students, and National Service Scholars. Service Resources for volunteers are also provided.

Peace Corps The Peace Corps is a large, well-established organization of volunteers who help educate and train peoples of developing countries to establish a safer, healthier way of life. Formed to promote world peace and mutual understanding among peoples of differing nations, the Peace Corps uses this Web site to provide information on becoming a volunteer.

Your Local Community: Many individual universities provide information about their own community volunteer programs. Contact the Dean of Students or Campus Life office of your particular university for more information.
