Locate sources of information for the United States and at least one other modern nation state. Using these sources, answer the following questions. (If you can't answer all the questions from a particular source, find another one.)

  2. What sorts of activities did supporters of suffrage engage in?
  3. What opposition was there to women's suffrage?
  4. What role did the state, and its representatives (especially the courts and the police) play in the suffrage movement?
  5. When did women get the right to vote?
