1		The earliest actors were priests involved in crucial rituals. Compare that concept of the actor to today's movie stars. Are there similarities? What rituals do today's actors participate in?
2		Comment on the actor's body as an instrument that she "plays." What do some actors say about their craft and their "instrument?" (See Web exercises)
3		What does it take to perform a single role many times? Discuss the problems an actor might face in the long run of a play. How do they keep it fresh performance after performance?
4		There are two approaches the work of the actor, the external and the internal. Comment on each of these ways of working and cite some advocates of each side of the issue? Is either side right (or wrong?)? Does the real truth lie somewhere in the middle ground?
