Using Verbs

Chapter Overview

The two main aspects of proper verb form are tense (the time the verb shows) and agreement in number with the subject.

In this chapter you will learn about the following verbs and verb tenses:

  • simple past, present, and future tenses
  • continuing tenses
  • perfect tenses
  • irregular verbs

You will also learn about subject-verb agreement by studying the following concepts:

  • singular and plural subjects
  • compound subjects
