Earth Science

Chapter Overview

Earth science is the study of the physical properties of our home planet. Earth science seeks to understand the formation of Earth and the processes that lead to Earth's continual evolution. Part of the study of Earth science deals with the properties of the atmosphere and the oceans. From these studies come information on weather patterns, ocean currents, erosion, weathering, volcanic activity, and earthquakes.
