Nonfiction Prose

Chapter Overview

Nonfiction prose presents factual information or expresses a viewpoint. Nonfiction prose can be broken down into three content areas: informational nonfiction, literary nonfiction, and visual communication. The following skills are necessary for reading nonfiction prose: comprehension, analysis, and synthesis.
