Process Layout "CRAFT" Solver page 188-193 Process Layout "CRAFT" Solver is an interactive graph. Its purpose is to demonstrate how different layouts in a process-oriented layout result in different costs for transporting inventory. A small production facility produces three different products in a layout with 6 departments. The three products have different routings and demands. Students can change the demands, but not the routings. Students also can modify the layout by dragging a department to a different "room". When the layout is changed, the model re-calculates total transportation distance and transportation costs for each product.
