  1. Please read the story ”Barbie Q.” Go through it and make note of the occurrences of repeated words and phrases. What words and phrases did you come up with? Where are they in the story? How does this repetition function within the story?


  2. What do you make of the title of ”Barbie Q”? Describe the author's play on words. How do the title and the tone work together? Where, specifically, do you get an idea of tone in "Barbie-Q"?

  3. Describe a Barbie doll. (You have seen one even if you've never owned one.) Write a few lines describing the two girls in the story. Compare your descriptions. What similarities and differences did you come up with?
