Subburaj Ramasamyis an eminent quality professional. He was awarded the prestigious Lal C Verman
Award by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) for his distinguished
contributions in the field of Standardization, Quality Control and Precision Measurements. He is serving
in the Academic Council of Anna University, Chennai for the second time, as a nominee of the Governor
of Tamil Nadu. He received his M.Tech degree from IIT, Delhi preceded by B.E. from Alagappa Chettiar
College of Engineering Technology, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.
He is an authorized trainer of Carnegie Mellon University / Software Engineering Institute, USA. He is
serving several organizations of the Government of India in various capacities and is currently heading the
Electronics Test and Development Centre (ETDC) and Centre For Reliability (CFR), Chennai.
He is a well-known author of books on ISO 9000, and Calibration, as well as computer programming
languages (C and C++). He has published and presented several technical papers in India and overseas.
He was also a visiting faculty to the University of Delhi where he taught postgraduate students.
