Once there was a beautiful young woman named Cinderella. When her mother died, Cinderella’s father married a mean old woman with two ugly daughters. After a few years, Cinderella’s father died too. As soon as he was dead, Cinderella’s stepmother made her become a servant in the house. Cinderella had to get up very early before her stepsisters. She had to cook breakfast for them, and then she had to clean the house and wash the clothes. When she asked for permission to go out, her stepmother always said, “You can’t go out until your work in done.” Unfortunately, her work was never done, so she never went out.
