Bold  Text property that causes text to appear darker.
Copy  Placing a duplicate of the selection on either the Windows Clipboard or the Office Clipboard so that it can be pasted in another location. This can be accomplished using the Standard toolbar's Copy button or from the Edit menu. See also Cut and Paste.
Default view  The view that will be used to open presentations. Set with the View tab of the Tools/Options menu.
Expand All button  The toolbar button used to expand and collapse outlines.
Export  Sending data from the current application to another application. For example, using the Send To option of the File menu to send a PowerPoint outline to Word.
File converters  Programs that convert documents created in one application so that they are compatible with another. For example, converting a PowerPoint outline to Word format.
Font  The typeface property of text.
Footer  Content to print in the bottom margin of a document.
Grayscale  A printing option that will print a color presentation in shades of gray.
Header  Content to print in the top margin of a document.
Importing  Moving content from another application into the current document.
Outline view  A customization of PowerPoint's Normal view featuring the Outline pane.
Outlining toolbar  A special PowerPoint toolbar designed to work with outlines. Activate it from the View/Toolbars menu.
Page orientation  Setting that controls whether output is printed in landscape or portrait.
Page Setup  The dialog box used to select page orientation, slide number, and slide size used when printing a presentation.
Paste  The paste operation places the contents of the clipboard at the active cursor location. See also Copy and Paste.
Point size  The height measurement of text size.
Print dialog box  The dialog box accessed from the File menu to select and customize printer options.
Print Preview  A "what you see is what you get" (wysiwyg) environment displaying documents exactly as they will print.
Print range  The page or pages to be printed as defined in the Print dialog box.
Rich text format  A file format commonly used in word processing applications capable of storing text, graphics, and their formats.
Shadow  Property that places a shadow on a character.
Transparencies  Printing on transparent slides to be used with an overhead projector.
Underline  A format that applies an underline to the selected text.
