Chat  Real-time Web-based communication that is typically accomplished by typing messages but can include voice communication.
Collaborative meetings  Usually online meetings used to facilitate collaboration of groups who can't have face-to-face meetings due to time or geographic constraints.
Digital signatures  Information embedded in a file identifying the creator and the validity of the source. Digital signatures present as certificates to allow the user to decide whether or not to trust this source.
Macro  A facility used to store keystrokes and mouse operations so they can be replayed.
Macro security levels  Microsoft Office XP security features designed to verify the source of macros and reduce the risk of macro viruses.
Macro virus  A computer virus stored in a macro and spread by sharing the infected file.
Playlists  The instructions followed by the PowerPoint viewer to play multiple presentations sequentially.
PowerPoint viewer  A software application used to display PowerPoint presentations on computers without PowerPoint loaded. The viewer is also capable of sequentially playing multiple presentations based on a playlist.
Web discussions  A Web-based forum used to discuss Web pages viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later and set to allow discussion. Participants must have permission to join the discussion.
Whiteboard  A Web-based writing space used to present information to a group like a whiteboard in a classroom.
Workgroup software  A category of software designed to facilitate working in groups. For example, software to manage a review cycle or track edits to a shared document.
