Making IT Work video series for professors to use as a teaching tool in
class to show students the practical application of the materials learned.
Concept checks: These occur at the conclusion of most A-head sections.
These serve to reinforce knowledge for the students right at the point of
learning.
End of chapter three level system of instruction:
This allows students (and professors) to follow a methodology of reviewing
materials. The first level offers a review of key terms, followed by level
two-a review of key concepts, followed by level three-hands on applications.
The trademark O'Leary visual summary follows this to close out the chapter
for students.
A Look to the Future:
Offers students a glimpse at what may be coming down the road as it pertains
to the current chapter, and how this will effect them. These close out
every chapter before the end of chapter materials.
Making IT Work:
A two page spread that appeared in only four chapters in the prior edition
is now being expanded into each chapter. These will tie to the video series
and offer students the "why does this matter to me?" side of computer literacy
as it pertains to the chapter. This was so well received in the last edition,
we decided to expand.
