Chapter Twelve provides the student with an overview of women's rights through the First-, Second-, and Third-wave Feminism. The student will have a clear picture of the steps women made to achieve equality to their male counterparts. The student will see this transformation through Europe and eventually the transformation in the United States.

The student will be exposed to, and will become aware of the variety of discriminations experienced by women in history as well as today. The student will read of and understand the concept of sexual harassment and the detrimental effects it can make to women as well as men and employers. The readings and narrative provide for the student a venture through the history of women's rights and the ethical consequences.
